The Dunes by Moonlight

The Dunes by Moonlight, by Mary Stebbins Taitt.

This is a sandwich of multiple time exposures of the dunes at the Pinery from our picnic table done using the collage option in Picasa. No other adjustments were made to any stage of this image (other than cropping.)

I have back-dated this post to the night I took the actual images. I was not on-line that night, since I was camping.

Forget-me Not

Forget-Me-Not
, Smudge painting by Mary Stebbins Taitt. For my Mom, who I will not forget. These forget-me-nots were growing in my mother's yard just as I was preparing to leave her house for the last time ever after her death. I photographed them in her vase and then painted them.

Signs of Spring, signs of grief. For Illustrations Friday's "signs."

A Reason For Hope

A Reason to Hope, by Mary Stebbins Taitt.

I have been away and incommunicado for a long time and now that I am back, I am totally swamped. It will be a while before I can post regularly.

This is part of the Vera House Collection. Unfortunately, It was quite large and in the shrinking process, much detail and quality was lost. I may try again later.

Tree at Niagara, Sunset

Tree at Niagara, Sunset, by Mary Stebbins Taitt.

This is a smudge painting but almost looks like a finger painting.

This is an experiment. Picasa used to post to my blog and no longer seems to work. Let me know if you can or cannot see this picture. Click image (if you can see it) to view larger.)

I have manually added the painting from the pencil screen. I also manually resized it, so some quality was lost. I hope you can see it now.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

The process of adding pictures is much more complicated and time-consuming now that Picasa doesn't do everything automatically.

Willow at OLP

Willow at OLP by Mary Stebbins Taitt. This is an ongoing project. I've been working on it a long time and there have been many iterations of it and I may post it again at some point.

Also I am working on learning to understand the new blogger. So far I am very disappointed with it.
